The South African Nuclear Energy Corporation (NECSA) in co-operation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and African Regional Cooperative Agreement for Research Development and Training Related to Nuclear Science and Technology (AFRA) has the pleasure of announcing the 11th African Conference on Research Reactor Safety, Operation and Utilization under the theme:

 “Reliable Safe Operation and Effective Utilization of Research Reactors and Development of New Research Reactor Programmes.”

Objectives

The purpose of the Conference is to foster the exchange of information on operating and planned research reactors. It is a forum for research reactor operators, regulators, managers, users and other stakeholders from all interested IAEA Member States to share experience in all relevant areas including safety, security, operation, utilization, infrastructure and capacity building, and management. The Conference also aims to showcase how achievements and experience attained in these areas contribute to sustainable future of research reactor facilities.
