The objective of the meeting is to discuss matters within the scope of the CPPNM and the Amendment thereto with particular emphasis on improving mechanisms for information sharing and promoting universalization of the Amendment through adherence to it by States that are not yet party to it. Parties to the CPPNM and the Amendment thereto are invited to designate one or more participants for this meeting. Participants should be or represent their State Party’s Point of Contact, or be senior officials of governments with responsibility for the implementation of the CPPNM and the Amendment thereto.
States Parties to the CPPNM and its Amendment are also encouraged to designate representatives to participate in the Technical Meeting to Promote the Universalization of the CPPNM and its Amendment, scheduled to be held from 20-21 November 2025.
