          Purpose

          The webinar, “Experiences and Challenges in Capacity Building for Decommissioning,” will examine the key challenges and opportunities in developing and strengthening human resources for nuclear decommissioning.

          It will provide an overview of the diverse approaches adopted by Member States to enhance workforce capabilities and improve human resource management in the field. Participants will gain insights from experts on capacity building, knowledge transfer, and best practices.

          Discussions will highlight the vital role of academia, research institutions, and training centres in cultivating the skills and expertise needed for successful decommissioning projects.

          • Building a sustainable career pipeline in the decommissioning sector
          • Fostering a mindset shift among professionals transitioning from operation to decommissioning
          • Addressing human resource needs at various stages of the decommissioning process
