The side event will present the European Union’s (EU) and Poland’s policy of promoting gender equality and women's empowerment, which remains an important priority for the EU in all international forums. Since 2020 the EU continues to provide significant support for the IAEA's Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship programme with the aim to strengthen women and young professional participation in careers related to nuclear security. Additionally, this support aims to raise awareness among young professionals about the peaceful uses of nuclear science and technology and to attract them to join this field of work. This event is organized by Euratom.
