This side event will highlight the value of a global regime for civil liability for nuclear damage for achieving the full potential of nuclear energy to address climate and energy security needs.  Member States will share their plans to join the Convention of Supplementary Compensation for Nuclear Damage (CSC) and the reason they are taking this important step. This event is co-sponsored by the IAEA and the United States of America together with Argentina, Canada, Ghana, India, Japan, Lithuania, Morocco, Romania and the United Arab Emirates.
