Recent Media Report on Iran
With respect to a recent media report, the IAEA reiterates that it has no concrete proof that there is or has been a nuclear weapon programme in Iran.
At the Board of Governors′ meeting on 9 September 2009, Director General Mohamed ElBaradei warned that continuing allegations that the IAEA was withholding information on Iran are politically motivated and totally baseless.

Senior representatives of the 150 Member States of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will meet at the Vienna International Centre (VIC) on Monday, 14 September, for the five-day annual IAEA General Conference to discuss major topics on the organization′s agenda.
All plenary sessions of the General Conference and the Scientific Forum will be open to the press. They will also be streamed live through the IAEA website.
The Scientific Forum on 15 and 16 September, which is being held for the 12th time, is aimed at stimulating discussion on Energy for Development.

The IAEA Board of Governors will convene a special meeting at the Agency′s Headquarters at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, 3 August 2009, in the IAEA Boardroom, C04, at the Vienna International Centre.
The meeting will discuss the Agency′s budget plans for 2010-2011.
The meeting is closed to the press.

The IAEA Board of Governors will convene a special meeting at the Agency′s Headquarters at 10:30 on Thursday, 2 July 2009, in the IAEA Boardroom, C04, at the Vienna International Centre.
The special meeting is reserved for the selection procedure for the appointment of the Director General of the IAEA.
The balloting procedure will be conducted in closed meeting.

Melissa Fleming, Spokesperson for the IAEA, today departs her position at the Agency after eight years in the role. She will now assume the role of Spokesperson for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Geneva.
Having started at the IAEA in January 2001, she served through a dramatic era for the Agency, a time that included the run-up to the Iraq invasion in 2003, the IAEA winning the Nobel Peace Prize in 2005, and several nuclear verification challenges.
A successor to Ms. Fleming will be named in the coming months.
