This part of the IAEA Yearbook 1995 deals with the status and trends in nuclear power, the nuclear fuel cycle and radioactive waste management throughout the world, together with a summary of the IAEA programmes in these areas. Of special relevance are the sections on recent changes in the uranium market, the comparative assessment of the environmental effects of nuclear and other energy sources and radioactive waste management in Central and Eastern Europe.
