The scope of the conference encompassed eight thematic areas, exploring both cross-cutting aspects of nuclear knowledge management and its specific applications for different types and phases of nuclear facilities and technologies. Through the presentation and discussion of issues and solutions related to building, collecting, transferring, sharing, maintaining, preserving and utilizing knowledge, the conference aimed to improve awareness of the importance of knowledge management in the nuclear sector. Various issues in relation to human resource development, competencies, methodological or process knowledge and technology related knowledge were also discussed in detail. The proceedings highlight the key findings and recommendations of the event, the opening statement as well as the conclusions of the conference president. The papers presented and discussed during the conference are available on the attached CD-ROM.
