The World Distribution of Thorium Deposits map, at a scale of 1:35 000 000, is intended to be a snapshot of the IAEA ThDEPO database showing the broad distribution of thorium resources worldwide. The map displays the Thorium deposit-type classification system and deposit size ranges.

In appropriate versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader the publication includes subdivided layers that can be toggled on and off according to deposit types separately within the main map and the insets, in order to produce a customised map. Additional functionality can be found using the View Object Data Tool, which can be accessed through Tools ? Measure in Adobe Acrobat Reader. This allows the user, through three mouse clicks on a specific deposit, to show individual deposit attributes.
