          Measures for prevention and mitigation of the effects of climate change on the safety of nuclear installations will be discussed in a panel format with international experts. ?In consideration of the current unsettled practice in Member States in relation to hazard, design, operation and self-assessment at nuclear installations for nuclear safety challenges posed by global warming, the External Events Safety Section (EESS) is focusing on the most relevant safety issues affecting climate change-related hazard and plant protection measures.
