In cooperation with the IAEA, the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) is holding a training course that aims to give participants an integrated vision of seismic risk assessment from the fault to the structure and equipment of nuclear installations. The course, which targets doctoral students, engineers and researchers working in the field of seismic risk, is held in the framework a French five-year research project called SINAPS@ (Earthquake and Nuclear Facilities: Improving and Sustaining Safety). The project is partly funded by the French government.
