          OA Data Access and Management

The OA-ICC promotes international data management efforts to ensure that ocean acidification data is accessible and comparable, and to facilitate data sharing, data synthesis products, and meta-analyses.

The Centre maintains the following open-access resources:

          1. The OA-ICC bibliographic database is a compilation of ocean acidification journal articles, dissertations, books, and book chapters. The database currently contains over 9,500 references. User instructions explain how to access the database via Zotero and perform searches using custom OA-ICC keywords.
          2. The OA-ICC biological response data compilation is hosted at PANGAEA and maintained through a partnership with Xiamen University. The data compilation hosts over 1600 data sets from studies on the biological response to ocean acidification, with all carbonate chemistry data recalculated in a consistent format. This resource facilitates data comparisons and can be used for meta-analyses. A data portal allows data sets to be easily searched and filtered from the compilation.

The OA-ICC encourages researchers to use these resources to perform meta-analyses and identify research gaps.
