The objective of the meeting is to promote further adherence to, and effective implementation of, the CPPNM and its Amendment through facilitating bilateral cooperation and assistance among States, and to enable discussions on practical experiences and lessons learned in adherence to, and implementation of, the CPPNM and its Amendment. 
The event is open to all countries that have joined the CPPNM and its Amendment or not. Designated participants should be officials of national governments with responsibility for facilitating the adherence to or the implementation of the CPPNM and the Amendment. Preference will be given to officially designated legal and/or technical officials from national authorities that are responsible for adherence to or the implementation of the CPPNM and its Amendment.
