Strengthening the Implementation of the National Radioactive Waste Disposal Programme

To establish a new radioactive waste processing and storage facility and near surface disposal facility for VLL and LIL radioactive waste to achieve a safe, secure, and sustainable management of radioactive waste as well as to protect people, the public, the environment, and future generations from the harmful effects of ionizing radiation according to Council Directive 2011/70/Euratom of 19 July 2011.
