The WNU School on Radiation Technologies (RT School) will be held 13 May - 1 June 2012 at Kyeryong Spatel, Daejeon, Republic of Korea. Applications to WNU School on Radiation Technologies are now being accepted by the WNU. All interested applicants must apply directly to the WNU no later than 28 October 2011 using the application form on the WNU website.
The RT School is an annual training programme aimed at young professionals involved in managerial roles related to radiation technologies (RT). Selected applicants will develop a broad understanding of radioisotopes and radiation technologies, and the main challenges encountered by practitioners in this field. During the programme, participants will also enjoy the opportunity to develop a worldwide network of contacts of unique value to their current and long-term careers.
The RT School's intensive three-week programme features:
- Lectures by prominent experts in radioisotope application and radiation technologies;
- Small-group and team-building work, where participants tackle case studies and develop proposals for resolving RT-related issues; and
- Technical visits to RT-related sites.
The IAEA provides financial support to a limited number of participants from developing countries.
