          Purpose

          The purpose of the webinar is to present the experiences in, and lessons learned from, the implementation of recent Technical Safety Review (TSR) peer review services for current nuclear power reactors and SMRs and the usage of this service in support of various needs of Requesting Parties. The webinar will also provide a forum for information exchange among Member States and offer guidance to potential requesting parties.

          Emil Stefanov, Head of PSA Section, Kozloduy NPP, Bulgaria

          Emil Stefanov, has worked for more than 25 years in nuclear power plants’ operation. He is an electrical engineer and has worked at various positions at Kozloduy NPP, Bulgaria in the past including holding a position of the chief expert for electrical equipment.

          Emil is currently Head of PSA Section within Kozloduy NPP’s Technical Support Division and he is also a member of WANO’s International Equipment Reliability Working Group (IERWG).

          Bravance Mashele, Senior Manager Nuclear Engineering, Eskom, South Africa?

          Bravance Mashele works within the Generation Division at Eskom in the Nuclear Operating Unit (NOU), focussed on long-term operation of the NPP.? Within Nuclear Engineering her role is mainly concerned with safety assessments and analyses, plant life cycle management, and maintaining of design basis documentation (such as the safety analysis report), and long-term planning for sustainable operations. ?Before the current role, Bravance has been in various managerial positions within the NOU including systems engineering, work management, and plant engineering.?

          Bravance has 19 years of nuclear power plant design and operations experience and is a professionally registered engineer with Engineering Council of South Africa.

          Ramon Lopez Morones, Technology Director, CNSNS, Mexico

          Ramón López M. has worked for over 20 years at the Mexican nuclear regulatory body. Ramon began his career as a risk analyst, contributing to the development of the Probabilistic Risk Analysis of Laguna Verde NPP of the regulatory body, for regulatory purposes and as a reviewer of the Individual Plant Examination of LVNPP. Ramon continued his responsibilities as a severe accident analyst using the MELCOR and SCDAPRELAP simulation codes. Currently, Ramon? is in charge of the Technology Direction, a sort of Technical Support Organization for the regulatory body, which consists of two sections: the first focusing on risk management and the second on neutronic, transients, and accidents.

          Mark Salisbury, Head of Regulatory Affairs, Rolls-Royce SMR Ltd., United Kingdom

          Mark Salisbury, FNucI, FRSC. has worked for around 20 years in new nuclear development and operational nuclear power plants. Mark is a chartered chemist and scientist with a degree in chemistry from the University of Warwick, and a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, UK Nuclear Institute and the World Nuclear University.

          Mark is currently Head of Regulatory Affairs for Rolls-Royce SMR in the UK and serves on the Board of the UK Nuclear Institute and is a member of the American Nuclear Society. Mark is actively involved in the IAEA Nuclear Harmonisation and Standardisation Initiative workstreams and serves as the UK representative to the IAEA Light Water Reactors. Technical Working Group.
