At this event, through the experience of Paris 2024 Olympic Games, France will provide an in-depth exploration of its expertise in securing major public events. Speakers from French National Police and the French Atomic Energy Commission will provide insights on the general context and challenges faced to secure such a major event, on steps undertaken to develop and implement the nuclear security measures and deploy appropriate equipment and finally lessons learned, and best practices will be shared. The IAEA will present its contribution on the cooperation in the field of major public events pertaining to nuclear security. This event is organized by France.
