Radiopharmaceuticals and the Supply of Isotopes: Building Resilient Supply Chains
Member States Side Events
Nuclear technologies are essential for medical research and the diagnosis and treatment of a range of conditions for millions of people each year globally. Just six nuclear reactors, along with a network of smaller cyclotron facilities, largely supply all the radioisotopes required for diagnosis and treatment. To ensure that nuclear medicine’s innovations and role in diagnosing and treating cancer and other illnesses can be transitioned into frontline clinical settings, the supply chain must cooperate to build the global capability to produce a diverse and safe supply of radioisotopes. Such capabilities would prevent shortages of isotopes and stimulate biomedical research. This event is organized by the United Kingdom.
This event will be held on Tuesday, 17 September 2024, from 10.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. in Conference Room M4, M Building, ground floor.
