This side event will gather Italian and international experiences in innovative use of radiation and radionuclides for medical diagnosis and treatment of cancer diseases. Experts will present promising developments in the design of irradiation targets and production routes for existing and new isotopes in nuclear therapy and diagnostics. The new development of hadron therapy for radio-resistant tumours will be also presented and discussed. The final focus will be devoted to discussing the support to the research and development of innovative nuclear application for medicine through funding and partnership among public institutions, private companies and investors. This event is organized by Italy.
