The side event aims at discussing the maturity of LFR technology, the perspective for an industrial deployment even as advanced SMR, its expected contribution to the transition to more sustainable energy systems and its potential role in closing the fuel cycle targeting the decarbonization of the energy mix. The panelists will discuss the rationale and motivation for such an innovative reactor technology and will explain how LFR can play a role as game changer in the nuclear field.
