          Head and Neck Malignancies

          This E-learning Module will focus on developing contouring skills for target volume and organs at risk for external beam radiotherapy planning for head and neck cancer. The module has been produced to improve the basic knowledge of anatomy, radiotherapy fundamentals and contouring skills for radiation oncologists, medical physicist, dosimetrists and radiation therapists. This module includes interactive text and illustrations that require students to answer questions before they can progress, educational lecture and a contouring exam. A certificate of completion is granted on successful completion of course.

          Learning outcomes

          By the end of this module, the learner will be able to:

          1. Identify the key anatomic structures relevant to head and neck cancer radiation treatment contouring.
          2. Understand the purpose of target delineation and identifying the organs at risk.
          3. Understand the importance of patient preparations, positioning and immobilisation.
          4. Be able to contour the GTV, CTV and organs at risk for head and neck cancer.
          5. Access the provided related resources -Reference guides (atlases, protocols, landmark trials).
