Maintaining long-term nuclear competencies in nuclear organizations is a critical challenge, because a large part of the knowledge that is critical to an organization is based on experience that resides in the minds of professionals. The loss of this tacit or implicit knowledge due to employees with unique and critical experience-based knowledge retiring or changing jobs represents a risk to an organization’s performance and safety. The IAEA is developing a consistent description of techniques for capturing and transferring the tacit knowledge of departing experts that will be presented during the webinar.Expert speakers from IAEA Member States will share their experience and good practices in applying a combination of techniques to retain and transfer tacit knowledge.By attending this webinar, participants will:?
