Overview of a Systematic Approach to Training (SAT)

A Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) is an internationally recognized good practice that ensures the development of quality training that is timely, technically accurate, relevant to the trainee’s job, instructionally effective and challenging.?An SAT provides a logical progression from the identification of the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to perform a job to the development and implementation of training to achieve these competencies and subsequent evaluation of training. Using an SAT helps to demonstrate that personnel performance has improved and that training is of value for the organization.
