The purpose of this course is to instruct participants on the safety requirements of SSR-5. This includes the Fundamental Safety Objective that the requirements are based on. The content of the course covers the different types of disposal facility for radioactive waste and how they are used for different classes of radioactive waste and how the requirements of SSR-5 are applied throughout each lifecycle stage of a disposal facility.
