Webinar 1: Security of Nuclear Material in Transport

In the framework of a series of webinars to highlight the relevant IAEA Nuclear Security Series (NSS) publications that assist States in the technical implementation of the Convention on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material (CPPNM) and its 2005 Amendment, this webinar on the Security of Nuclear Material in Transport will elaborate on the legal and technical implementations of the amended CPPNM.Specifically this webinar will elaborate on the legal and technical implementation of the amended CPPNM with emphasis on the content of the Nuclear Security Series (NSS) publication ”Security of Nuclear Material in Transport (NSS 26-G)”The objectives of the webinar are:? To present transport related roles and responsibilities for Member States which result from the amended CPPNM.? To present the content of NSS publication on Security of Nuclear Material in Transport (NSS 26-G) that relates to the technical implementation of the CPPNM and its Amendment.? To inform Member States of the available resources and assistance provided by the IAEA in the field of Transport Security.
