The specific requirements associated with the injector construction and steady state operation of ITER and new fusion experiments have been addressed. Topics covered included: status reports and programmes on negative ion beam production, long-pulse operation, negative ion sources, acceleration and neutralization of negative ions, beam optics, injector diagnostics, and new concepts.
