Children sometimes need imaging procedures for diagnosis of diseases and injuries. Doctors must ensure that procedures using ionizing radiation are really necessary and perform them safely. The IAEA helps medical professionals to improve quality and safety by providing standards and guidelines, training and information resources, available from this website.
