Once thought of as a "rich world" disease, cancer is a looming public health catastrophe across east Africa and the developing world. Rates of incidence of the disease are rising, treatment options are limited, and people don't know how to identify early signs of the disease. The IAEA is working with the WHO and other partners to help countries like Kenya and Tanzania to build the cancer control services they deserve.
