          Press Arrangements for IAEA Board of Governors Meeting, Starting 15 June 2009

          The IAEA Board of Governors will convene a regular meeting at the Agency′s Headquarters at 10:30 on Monday, 15 June 2009, in the IAEA Boardroom, C04, in the Vienna International Centre.

          Director General Mohamed ElBaradei will open the meeting with an introductory statement. His statement will be released to journalists after delivery and posted on the IAEA website the same day.

          Reports by the Director General on the Application of Safeguards in the Democratic People′s Republic of Korea (DPRK), on the Implementation of the NPT Safeguards Agreement and relevant provisions of Security Council resolutions 1737 (2006), 1747 (2007), 1803 (2008) and 1835 (2008) in the Islamic Republic of Iran, and on the Implementation of the NPT Safeguards Agreement in the Syrian Arab Republic will also be presented.

          Board discussions are also expected on multiple proposals regarding assurance of supply of nuclear fuel.

          The meeting is closed to the press.

          Photo-Op:

          There will be a photo opportunity at the beginning of each morning and afternoon session. Camera crews should take positions in the Boardroom by 10:15 for the morning (9:45 for the following day) and by 14:45 for the afternoon photo-ops.

          Press Working Area:

          Journalists may use the press working area on C03 (for print press, radio and TV) starting from 09:00 on Monday, 15 June 2009.

          There are telephone lines installed in the press area on C03. Please note that journalists requiring the use of telephones are advised to buy calling cards at the VIC Post Office or alternatively make use of a toll-free 0800-number for long-distance calls.
