Case presentation:
- Male.
- 7 y.o.
- Fever.
- Positive urine culture.
- Normal B-mode ultrasound.
- Power-Doppler US: decreased vascular signal in the right upper pole.
- DMSA scan.
Teaching points:
- Normal B-mode ultrasound cannot rule out renal damage.
- DRC: higher sensitivity than VCUG and than IRC.
- Normal IRC cannot rule out reflux.
- Repeated APN, with high incidence os renal cortical scars, are not rare.
