To strengthen national capacity to diagnose and forecast extreme precipitation events by developing an integrated framework for monitoring and modelling the isotopic composition of severe rainfall and drought events to reduce and mitigate the negative impacts of extreme rainfall events on water resources, agricultural activities, infrastructure, and social well-being.
