Conference Venue
The conference will be held at the?Tianfu International Convention Center in Chengdu, People’s Republic of China. Participants must make their own travel and accommodation arrangements. Please note that the IAEA is not in a position to assist participants with hotel bookings, nor can the IAEA assume responsibility for paying cancellation fees or for re-booking and no shows.

Visa Information
Whether you need to apply for a visa to travel to China depends on your nationality and the type of passport you hold. As of April 2025, the People's Republic of China has signed mutual visa exemption agreements with 158 countries. For detailed information, please visit the?official website.

Nationals of these countries can enter China visa-free for purposes such as business, tourism, visiting relatives and friends, exchange visits, and transit, provided that their stay does not exceed 30 days. The duration of stay is calculated from 00:00 on the day following the day of entry.

If you are not eligible for any of the visa exemption policies mentioned above, you will need to apply for a visa to enter China. The application process can be initiated via the?official website.
After submitting the visa application form online, you will need to submit the required application materials to the nearest Chinese embassy/consulate or Chinese Visa Application Service Center (CVASC).
To apply for a visa through the Chinese Online Visa Application system, an invitation letter from the host is required. Please provide a copy of your passport and specify your position/title and institutional affiliation.
Processing Time:
The visa application processing time typically ranges from 4 to 6 workdays from the date of submission. We strongly recommend that you apply as early as possible before your planned travel date to China.
