RAF/7/011: Water in the Sahel - Project Kick-off Meeting with National Counterparts and Experts from Participating Member States, Technical Officers, and Potential Partners and Collaborators

During this meeting national counterparts and experts from participating Member States made presentations, highlighting the need to better understand the selected aquifer systems and basins in their geographical areas. These presentations were followed by discussions focusing on previous and ongoing studies/projects implemented in their countries, current gaps related to data and information on specific aquifer systems and basins, including the needs to be considered under this project. Furthermore, the Member State delegations were divided into four working groups by aquifer systems, and with support of technical officers elements of the project plan were refined.
