As of May 2025, 52 Member States are working with the IAEA in using nuclear technologies to recycle and upcycle plastic waste, while 99 Member States use nuclear-derived tools to characterize and assess microplastic pollution in the ocean.
The High Level Forum will bring together government officials, researchers, technologists, national project team members, policy makers, multilateral organizations, international financial institutions, private sector and key stakeholders from around the globe.
