The event is intended for participants from IAEA Member States who are staff at regulatory bodies or other government organizations with direct involvement in the implementation of regulatory functions for radiation protection or security of radioactive material. Participants should be experienced regulators with at least 5 years of direct involvement in the licensing process of medical practices, including regulatory inspection and enforcement, either for radiation safety or security of radioactive material. Participants should familiarize themselves with the content of relevant IAEA safety standards and security guidance and with the code on conduct of the safety and security of radioactive sources and supplementary guidance.
