Regional Workshop on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material and Nuclear Facilities

The Reactor Institute Delft has hosted multiple IAEA regional workshops for the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material and Nuclear Facilities. Based on the success of these training events, the Netherlands and the IAEA agreed to conduct a regional training workshop for physical protection system experts in 2025.? The purpose of the event is to familiarize the participants with the design and evaluation process for physical protection measures for nuclear material and nuclear facilities. The workshop is intended for participants from IAEA Member States who are responsible for designing and/or assessing physical protection systems.
