          Training Meeting

          The objectives of the eventare to provide basic awareness of information and computer security for nuclearsecurity professionals, as well as basic concepts of computer securityincluding threats, risk and security controls. The event will also provide demonstrationsand exercises, on representative computer systems, of the application ofcomputer security controls and techniques for industrial control systems, withspecific attention to representative systems that might exist at nuclearfacilities such as those used for nuclear safety and nuclear security.

          The event is designed fornuclear security professionals that have responsibilities in the managementand/or implementation of computer security. It will involve presentations andhands-on computer exercises. A pre-requisite for participation in the event isprevious attendance at an IAEA computer security event or completion of theIAEA’s online course “Introduction to Computer Security for Nuclear SecurityPractitioners”. The target audience for this course would be competentauthorities (i.e., regulators, law enforcement), operators, vendors, and otherentities that have responsibilities of information or computer securityimplementation at nuclear or other radioactive material facilities.
