The International Integrated Workshop on Radiological Crime Scene Management and Nuclear Forensics is based on the IAEA Nuclear Security Series (NSS) Nuclear Forensics in Support of Investigations (IAEA NSS No. 2-G), and Radiological Crime Scene Management (IAEA NSS No. 22-G). In order for States to develop capabilities in nuclear forensics (NFS) and radiological crime scene management (RCSM), technical and non-technical stakeholders need to coordinate and collaborate in their work so that data generated in a nuclear forensic examination can be utilized in the context of legal proceedings, among other uses. Attendees should have specialized knowledge, or experience in, crime scene investigation and radiological crime scene and evidence collection at a crime scene, including a radiological crime scene, as well as in material analysis in the field and in the laboratory, including nuclear forensic examination.
