Interregional Training Course on Safety and Security in the Management of Disused Sealed Radioactive Sources
The objective of the event is to increase participants’ understanding of the:?? Need to secure high-activity sealed radioactive material based on threats and the potential consequences of a malicious acts (different from accidental misuse);?? IAEA safety standards applicable to disused sealed radioactive sources (DSRS);? Key IAEA guidance on the security of DSRS;? Fundamental principles of safety and security and their application to high-activity DSRS.
