Technical Meeting on Innovations in Data Analysis and Retrieval for Nuclear Decommissioning

          18 – 22 Aug 2025
          Virtual component
          Vienna, Austria
          Event code: EVT2404267

The event aims to enhance the exchange of experiences in use of innovative technologies to optimize data access for nuclear decommissioning. It will foster collaboration among international representatives from various sectors, plant operators, and technology specialists.

During the meeting, participants will experience demonstrations of the advanced smart retrieval platform, aimed at improving the interconnectivity of databases and enhancing data organization and retrieval capabilities.

          ?

Key topics will include the application of AI technologies, innovative approaches to data processing and the challenges associated with implementing these technologies in nuclear decommissioning .

          ?

Member States are encouraged to prepare papers to be presented at the event. Presentations should be related to following topics:

          • Innovative knowledge management approaches in planning and implementing decommissioning projects.
          • Innovations in data processing, including the use of AI technologies (large language models, semantic technologies, machine learning).
          • Emerging approaches and methodologies for data analysis (e.g. understanding data relevance, processing large data logs, applying generative AI for data analysis, identifying gaps through generative AI, etc.)
          • Aspects impacting the implementation of AI technologies (security constraints, hardware/software requirements, capability needs etc.).

          ?

The call for abstracts is open until 30th June 2025. The Abstract should not exceed one page of A4, and have to be submitted at h.mrazova@iaea.org
