Technical Meeting on the Use and Enhancement of the Mobile-Integrated Nuclear Security Network for the Africa Region
The Mobile-Integrated Nuclear Security Network (M-INSN), developed by the IAEA, provides critical situational awareness for nuclear security missions. This tool includes web servers, databases, a user interface, and a phone app connecting radiation detectors via Bluetooth. It ensures secure distribution and analysis of nuclear security information among designated end-users. In 2022, Thailand, Albania, and the United States successfully tested the M-INSN, sparking interest from several African Member States for deployment, testing, training, and research collaboration.

This event targets potential users and managers of the M-INSN, including system administrators, IT staff, and operational staff. Ideal participants should have experience in nuclear security missions and knowledge of radiation detection equipment and cybersecurity requirements. The focus is on African countries with approved Integrated Nuclear Security Sustainability Plans (INSSPs) interested in implementing the M-INSN.
