First Research Coordination Meeting on Assessing the Fate, and Environmental Impact of Plastics in Soil and Crop Ecosystems Using Isotopic Techniques

The First Research Coordination Meeting on Assessing the Fate, and Environmental Impact of Plastics in Soil and Crop Ecosystems Using Isotopic Techniques is taking place from 3 to 6 July 2023 in VIC, MOE23. The purpose of the event is to?discuss the work plans and activities with the participants and to develop an overall work plan to establish the project’s objectives such as to develop guidance for improving the understanding of the fate and impacts of?plastics and microplastics?in agricultural soils based on nuclear and related techniques and to?establish network and coordinating inter-laboratory studies of analytical techniques and data interpretation to support CRP network member states in developing common strategies to effectively mitigate the plastic pollution of agricultural soils and crops.
