Countries of the African Regional Group have come together to establish a Group of Friends of Food Security in Vienna to support the efforts of Vienna-based Organizations (VBOs) and their Member States to address the challenges of food insecurity. This side-event will provide an occasion to inform the diplomatic community about the objectives and structure of the Group. Ambassadors of the first co-Chairs of the Group (Sudan and Italy) will participate in the event as well as high-level representatives from VBOs, whose policies and projects can contribute in accelerating the food security agenda. This event is organized by Sudan and Italy. 

This event will be held on Thursday, 19 September 2024, from 09.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. in Conference Room CR3, C Building, seventh floor.
