Regulatory Efficiency: Using Collaboration to Support Regulatory Reviews of SMRs

At this event organized by Canada, the importance of international collaboration in the effective and efficient regulation and safe deployment of new reactor technologies will be highlighted. The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) is active in collaborating with other nuclear regulators, key stakeholders and international bodies such as the IAEA to share best practices and experiences in reviewing advanced reactor and small modular reactor (SMR) technology designs. This event will give insights into how the CNSC’s collaborative efforts with close partners have strengthened collective efforts on efficient and effective regulation to ensure the safe deployment of SMRs. This event is organized by Canada.
