Director General's Statement on the Agency's Nuclear Applications Laboratories

IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano delivered a statement to the Agency's Board of Governors on 6 June 2016.
He said good progress has been made in raising funds for the renovation of the Agency's nuclear applications laboratories, which will enable the start of construction on facilities including a new Insect Pest Control Laboratory.
The Board, which meets five times a year at the IAEA headquarters in Vienna, Austria, is one of the IAEA's main policymaking bodies.
