Prof Bomanji is a medical doctor specialising in nuclear medicine, working to better understand how diagnostic and therapeutic radionuclide techniques improve patient outcomes. His expertise includes diagnostic and therapeutic applications of nuclear medicine techniques in benign and malignant diseases. He enjoys generating new ideas and devising diagnostic and therapeutic solutions to broadly relevant clinical problems. His colleagues describe him as a driven, resourceful individual who maintains a very positive, proactive attitude when faced with adversity. He is always seeking opportunities that will allow him to develop and promote nuclear medicine technologies that benefit human health in low- and middle-income countries.
