An UNMOVIC missile team supervised the destruction of 3 more Al Samoud 2 missiles at the Taji Technical Battalion. This brings to 58 the total number of Al Samoud 2 missiles destroyed since the commencement of this process on 1 March. Another missile team went to the Waziriyah plant to inventory and destroy Al Samoud 2 missile-related materials and components. The destroyed materials and components were sent to Taji for disposal.
UNMOVIC conducted a private interview with an Iraqi individual, who had taken part in the unilateral destruction of chemical precursors at the former Muthanna State Establishment in 1991. This was the tenth private interview, which UNMOVIC conducted since 28 February. During this period, UNMOVIC was unable to interview five individuals in private due to a condition they insisted on.
An UNMOVIC biological team inspected the Al Baghdadyia Co. for Juice Industry, Ltd. in southeast Baghdad. The plant produces orange and grape-flavored drinks. Another biological team inspected the Iraqi Dairy and Ice Cold Products Company. The plant produces derivatives of milk, such as cream cheese, yogurt and ice cream.
An UNMOVIC chemical team inspected the That Al Suwavi Co. located 30km north of Baghdad. The company produces fiberglass materials and manufactures fiberglass products. The team inspected the company headquarters and production facilities.
An UNMOVIC multidisciplinary team inspected a Missile Military Unit located north of Baghdad.
An IAEA team visited the Saddam Centre for Cancer and Medical Genetics Research and the Saddam Neurosciences Centre in Baghdad. The visits were related to the use of radioisotopes.
