Regional Research Reactor School on Research Reactor Operation and Utilization
Introduction
The Regional Research Reactor School on Research Reactor Operation and Utilization is organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency in collaboration with the L'Institut national des sciences et techniques nucléaires (INSTN), France, which has been delivering highly specialized nuclear education programs and professional development courses for operators, technicians, engineers, and scientists for more than 60 years.?
The workshop is focused on the development of nuclear competences in Member States by using research reactors.
Objectives
The event is intended to assist participating Member States in Asia, Africa and Europe in building nuclear competence and providing hands-on training for young professionals on the operation of research reactors. The event also aims to enable the participants to develop their technical skills; provide some background information to allow them to safely operate research reactors; and familiarize themselves with the basic aspects of nuclear reactors.
