          Press Arrangements for IAEA Board of Governors Meeting, Starting 1 August 2008

          The IAEA Board of Governors, at the request of India, will meet at the Agency′s Headquarters at 10:00 on Friday, 1 August 2008, in the IAEA Boardroom, C04, in the Vienna International Centre.

          The meeting will consider the Draft Agreement Between the Government of India and the International Atomic Energy Agency for the Application of Safeguards to Civilian Nuclear Facilities. Also on the agenda are the Technical Cooperation Fund targets for the 2009-2011 triennium and the Report of the Programme and Budget Committee: Funding of the Agency-wide Information System for Programme Support (AIPS).

          The meeting is closed to the press.

          Photo-Op:

          There will be at least one photo opportunity. Camera crews should arrive at IAEA headquarters by 09:30 and proceed to the Boardroom on C04. Positions in the Boardroom must be taken by 09:45 (or 14:45 for a possible afternoon photo-op if the meeting continues over the morning session).

          Press Working Area:

          Journalists may use the press working area on C03 (for print press, radio and TV) starting from 09:00 on Friday, 1 August 2008.

          Telephone Lines:

          There are telephone lines installed in the press area on C03. Please note that journalists requiring the use of telephones are advised to buy calling cards at the VIC Post Office or alternatively make use of a toll-free 0800-number for long-distance calls.
