          Press Arrangements for IAEA Board of Governors Meeting, Starting 7 June 2010

          The IAEA Board of Governors will convene a regular meeting at the Agency′s headquarters starting at 10:30 a.m. CET on Monday, 7 June 2010, in Boardroom A of the M-Building, in the Vienna International Centre (VIC).

          Director General Yukiya Amano will open the meeting with an introductory statement. His statement will be released to journalists after delivery and posted on the IAEA website the same day.

          Reports by the Director General on the Implementation of the NPT Safeguards Agreement and Relevant Provisions of Security Council Resolutions 1737 (2006), 1747 (2007), 1803 (2008) and 1835 (2008) in the Islamic Republic of Iran, and on the Implementation of the NPT Safeguards Agreement in the Syrian Arab Republic, will be discussed.

          Board discussions are also expected on issues related to Israeli nuclear capabilities, IAEA technical cooperation programs and the safe disposal of radioactive waste.

          The meeting is closed to the press.

          There will be a photo opportunity at the beginning of each morning and afternoon session.

          Press Working Area:

          Journalists may use the Press Room on the M-Building′s ground floor starting from 09:00 on Monday, 7 June 2010. This room will be dedicated to working press for the entire week.
